How Vince Dilley scaled from one to twenty two locations in nine years

Vince Dilley is founder and CEO of Platinum Dental Services.

He took a different path than normal by going straight to into the business of buying dental practices instead of dental school. Although this seems counter intuitive, some of the most successful dentist support organizations, or DSO's, are founded by non dentists. Two examples are Community Dental Partners and Independence Dental Services, whose founders have both been on the show.

We talk about how Vince boot strapped his entire operation without taking on any equity capital. He and is partner Patrick Nelson have scaled to 22 locations while retaining full ownership. 

We also talk about what happens when a dentist owns the real estate of a practice they are attempting to acquire, and what factors determine whether to buy or rent.
